HOPE:

‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Matthew 25:40

Calvary Chapel Miami Beach has collaborated with HOPE in Miami Beach for the past two years to operate a Walk-In Office for the homeless located at 1655 Washington Avenue. Through HOPE in Miami Beach funding the walk-in office has provided identification replacement services for the homeless.
The Walk-In Office has proven to be a good means through which we can make contacts and build relationships with the homeless on Miami Beach. Many times the individuals that make up the homeless population of Miami Beach face life debilitating addictions and mental illness. We seek to connect to the heart of the person and help them with more than just physical needs; we do this by talking from the heart of Jesus Christ, without bureaucracy. Many regular attendees at Calvary Chapel found the church through the walk-in office of HOPE. We are able to refer people to services that exist, or discuss life goals. We are able to offer a small pack of toiletries and a change of clothing. Providing toiletries has proven to be a practical way to assist people who are coming in just to talk and get referrals. The hope office is a help to a person who is lost or stranded, needs a job, safety, identity, or hope.
