How Can I Get Involved?

At Calvary we believe service is a great way to get involved and get connected with the Body of Christ. Being connected is vital to a Christian’s growth in relationship to the Lord. Our desire is to see the Holy Spirit empower you with specific gifts for the edification of all, not just to give you more work. The benefits of service are evident: Pleasing to God, helpful to others, fulfilling your role in the Body; building relationships.

Steps to Getting Involved at Calvary Chapel Miami Beach:

1. Speak to a pastor or coordinator about your desire to help and to find out the current need for volunteers in different ministries here at Calvary. Many areas of involvement have no requirements for direct involvement (such as special maintenance days), some areas require six months of regular attendance before participation, or other requirements.

2. Obtain a Ministry Application and review the Statement of Faith of Calvary Chapel . If there is anything that you do not agree with, before you proceed to fill out the questionnaire, please make an appointment to speak to a pastor to discuss these differences. “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” Amos 3:3. If you agree with the Statement of Faith and have completed the prerequisites, please continue by filling out the questionnaire.

3. If the area of ministry desired is in the Children’s/Youth Ministry area, you must also complete the Children’s/Youth Ministry Confidentiality Questionnaire. If you are applying for the Children’s Ministry you will need to attach a copy of your driver’s license to the background check consent form. This is required to complete your questionnaire.

4. Please return the completed questionnaire to the church office or your ministry overseer or coordinator within one week.

**Notice**
If you are filling out this form to serve in the Children’s Ministry, Youth Ministry or any other ministry that involves minors, you will be asked to sign a release form for a criminal background check. (This form will be in the Children’s Ministry Questionnaire.)
