Missions: Peru
“People who don’t know the Lord ask why in the world we waste our lives as missionaries. They forget that they too are expending their lives …and when the bubble has burst, they will have nothing of eternal significance to show for the years they have wasted. ”
Nate Saint
Meet our Missionaries: Lima
Our missionaries Pastor Brian and Betty VanderKodde lead a vibrant missionary church in Lima, Peru, a city of 8 million people who need Jesus. Their outreaches to many parts of Peru are a weekly discipline for the believers there. Home base is a Latin American Missions Center and church to house visiting teams.
When the VandeKodde’s left Calvary Chapel Miami Beach for Peru six years ago their goal was to begin church-planting churches that would teach the word of God, make disciples, and reproduce. By God’s grace they have an active, passionate congregation called Koinonia. Their vision has grown, spread, and now planted other church-planting churches. Through the love of Brian and Betty for the people of Peru, the church in Lima has grown in depth and ministers in many parts of the city.
“If a commission by an earthly king is considered an honor, how can a commission by a Heavenly King be considered a sacrifice?” David Livingstone, from Brian VanderKodde’s Blog

Meet our Missionaries: San Vicente de Canete
Jaime Inga is Brian VanderKodde’s assistant Pastor and the Pastor of a small church planted in Canete, a two hour bus ride from Lima. He and his wife, Silvia, moved there to help the people attending the weekly Bible study which continues to grow. San Vicente de Canete is a delightful place to visit …but the strong chains of Catholicism and syncretism make it a very dark place to do full-time ministry. Their small congregation regularly reaches out to their neighbors in Playa Hermosa where crowds of children come to be instructed in the Bible and their parents will also hear the word of God.

Giving to the Work
How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news of the Gospel. Feet that will go to places where you cannot go. Hands that will bring comfort to the downtrodden. All over the world men and women are called of God to leave their homes and lands and travel to spread the love of Jesus Christ to those who have not heard His name. This work is vital to the church, for Jesus commanded: “GO!”
At CCMB our missionaries Brian and Betty VanderKodde, and Jaime and Silvia Inga are participating in God’s calling to reach the lost people of Peru; a land of many tribes and tounges. CCMB and other churches and believers support them with income to carry on this calling. Won’t you support them with prayers and offerings?
As we look to what the Lord has done through their efforts, we see a super-natural provision and these individual’s faithfulness to use it well. 100% of your tax deductible offerings will go to benefit the work in Peru. What a great way to store up treasure in heaven. To find out more about giving to missions in Peru at CCMB click below or call. Donations can be made to Calvary Chapel Missions.
